About CES 2014

This was the first year in my life where I consciously waited for CES 2014(Consumer Electronics Show 2014). Previously I wasn’t much focused on the buzz during the time when CES was held due to huge reasons, I was in college days and I was taking time. Also I didn’t posted anything regarding CES during previous years anything in my blog.

Now it’s time to break the glass, I was anticipating Chrome OS in an LG laptop. This news particularly circulated in the internet very widely but this didn’t happen in CES 2014.

From my personal choice of productivity accompanied with affordable product of CES 2014 is the Asus Dual OS Tablet, Honestly I was surprised. This particular news which made me smile literally in this year’s CES was due to many reasons.

I already have an android device which is a tablet so I was thinking of buying a Windows Phone with my expenditure to try something different mobile OS. This lead me into continuous thoughts, how long will this OS parallel carry through? So this particular news was much special and also Tablet is an affordable thing for most people for a person who plans for spending on productivity-centric device. It was also a device which can be in 4 different featured lives when connected to a keyboard device.

Rest of things like LG G Flex curved phones, Curved Televisions, 4K displays, seriously isn’t as impressive to me as they portray. Do eyes of human beings really recognize pixels in anyways?

The curved displays have disadvantage of distortion for people who sit in side. Nokia and Microsoft didn’t play a major role in the show apart from Xbox, I am waiting for their bang formula. Let’s see how they turn up.

Have nice days fellows 🙂

Samsung Galaxy Tab in a peculiar state

The video is about a peculiar state which happened with my Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 which my dad recently received as gift from one of his office colleagues. We had an occasion to reset this device by pressing the power button up to 10 seconds continuously at the end. But until and before that I was just analyzing the stuff of the interactions it made in this particular peculiar state. Watch the video if you want to find what is the peculiar state…:-)

For the first time in history of my life my face comes in one of the videos of YouTube. My English was worse in the video since I am currently an amateur with regard to speaking in video streaming. I will definitely improve in future.

About Windows 8

Its been officially the chat across the web that Windows 8 is a great flop. Not just the windows OS of PCs but also the Microsoft Surface and Windows 8 Phone also shattered in their race in bringing new technology.

It’s already the world dominated by Android and Open source environment when it comes to mobile sector and Tablet sector. Windows has great lack of applications either it be Windows OS for Computers or Phones. And, the craziest thing I heard when I heard about Windows 8 is Bluetooth sharing is possible only with Windows devices with regard to windows phones. This concept is just the copy what Apple was making with their iPhones.

This is just making alienization of devices. There is no necessity for copying this concept from Apple which was actually no longer an advantage for them too. In a world where equality is attained by people by their doings and capability now, this concept of working in operating system is aimed by Microsoft and Apple is been brought only for making ethnic barriers. Even a person who is doing a small job with is document editor or whatever software they use, Its unfortunately cannot be shared with people who belonged to Android devices. It is a well known fact with most internet users that each day 1 million users are activating android devices. And, I am very soon going to become a member of that large database with my new Samsung Tablet. People in the world always wish only to be in the larger community market and that’s the thing they missed focusing with joining hands with fellows.

My country is India and when it comes to smart phones, the cheapest android smartphone which is sold roughly around just Rs.3600(1$ = 54 ruppes) by Lava Iris and on the either side Samsung Galaxy S4(Which is roughly Rs.35000). So, the android gives a chance for each and every consumer of their different circles of budget. There lies the greatest difference between them.

For controlling electronic waste

In our present world of electronics. Today’s technology is tomorrow’s dust. For the past decade there has been a huge development in the field of cell phones. Starting from Camera, Radio, Infrared, Bluetooth, WiFi etc. But were thus the people reuse the mobile when a mobile has been abandoned. A report says that only 10% of the mobile phones are reused to the second hand. I recently done a small idea with one of my old mobile phone which for time being purpose for e-waste control. I presently have a Nokia phone with decent features of music player and camera. I also have a Basic mobile set of LG which is helpful only for messaging and simple data transfer such as bmp files of 128*128 which can be used as its wallpaper for mobile via messaging. This is one of the abandoned mobile which is present in my home because it goes to sale just for 300 rupees which is approximately $6(U.S) today(Date I am writing this blog post-(18.05.2012)). The basic mobile set of L.G was bought by my dad in the year 2007 for about 2500 rupees which is $50(U.S) Selling a mobile phone to approximately 10% is the only way but the battery was in perfect condition and more than many things, This mobile phone “doesn’t hang”. So, I simply planted a small idea to recycle the phone by using it at the time period of when we need less features for mobile for the particular period of time. For the past twenty days I was trying only this. I was having study leave for semester exams and I was only at home for most days. So there is no need for mobile camera since digital camera is the substitute for that in my home. For this reason I replaced the SIMCard of my Nokia phone to the basic mobile set where there is a need only for messaging and I was happy using it :-). I actually love using this mobile as I took initiative to control e waste to some extent. Then what I did with the Nokia phone? you may ask. I used it as a portable multimedia device for watching videos. After the end of the study leave I replaced the SIMCard in my Nokia phone  and I will wait for another time like this. It might sound silly for some people but I made it to make a useful thing out of abandoned things. 🙂
